Grid Shift

"Good idea, doesn't work out so well"

submission: Grid Shift

It's an interesting idea, but to be honest, in reality, it stops being fun after about 5 to 10 minutes.

Rumble Ball field 3 v2

"As before..."

date: November 24, 2009

I'll give this one a six again, for the same reasons as I did with the fourth in the series.

That said - one further thing to I do like is the variations in color throughout the levels; one further thing I dislike is the fact that you can only interact with the ball when it's at rest now. I imagine this may have been considered a bug in 1 and 2, but I enjoyed being able to play with the ball and give it further pushes while it was still in motion.

All in all, I hope there's gonna be a 5. Maybe one that has a "relaxation mode" in addition to normal gameplay, too, where bombs and holes are gone?

Rumble Ball field 4

"Better than 3, worse than 1 and 2"

date: November 24, 2009

When I played the first level of this one, I was really happy - no life bar anymore, no bombs, no holes, just the fun that 1 and 2 gave, plus the improvements from 3, such as the extra area around the playing field (so you can better aim shots when you're near the edge), variable power, updated sprites and so on.

Of course, the holes and bombs are still there, though.

Granted, they only substract score now, so if you don't care about score, they don't matter all that much; but nevertheless, they're distracting, an annoyance, and - what's more - unnecessary.

Coupled with the fact that the game was even shorter now, I'm just not able to give this more than a 6.

Author's Response:

this idea is very undeveloped and have a few directions can be developed.
I not now if i ever continue develope it but it certainly can be some classic genre of breakout type of games.

Tricky's Song

"Sailor's Hornpipe"

submission: Tricky's Song
date: November 3, 2009

The original name is "Sailor's Hornpipe", I think. If you had ever listened to Tubular Bells, you'd know. ;)

"Sweet!"

Nice one! Somewhat reminiscent of The Legend of Zelda's "Underworld" theme, but that's a good thing, since I like that game a lot. ^_~
